My father in law was awakened by the Carrollton police at 4:30am on father's day. They were there to inform him that his brand new F150 was missing its wheels and sitting on some landscaping blocks removed from his garden.

The backpack full of items is not covered under an auto policy. It might be covered under a homeowner's or renter's policy, depending on what kind of policy you have and what riders, etc.
