          2007 and older Classic Silverado/Sierras
2006 and older Tahoes, Suburbans and Avalances(along with their GM Counterparts)

These vehicles can be broken into, started and driven away with not much more than a screw driver and a bit of knowledge.

All GM Trucks and SUVs 2007 and newer(minus the classic truck models) have a theft deterrent module that is not so easy to defeat. i have yet to come across a new model that was driven away by the vehicle's own power without the actual key. these late models are towed or pushed away by simply pulling the trans cable, and left not too far from the original place it was taken from.

i have yet to see or hear about a newer GM being started and driven away. when recovered, the columns are always intact and ignition unharmed. even the few that i have seen stripped of all restraints and electronics started right up once the key was put in the ignition.

i am sure someone has done it, but i have yet to see it.

There were certainly no signs of pushing away - you'd think someone would have caught that with so many people in the parking lot for opening night at Plano Movie Theater. I suppose it could have been towed, had I caught that in action would have been a good way for someone to have died in a tow truck.

That sucks man....nice truck and I'm sorry to see it happened to you. There is no worse feeling than having a car stolen. I've gone through it twice now myself.

On the bright side....at least you'll know that those shitty shaking assed 420's will irritate the shit out of them! (have had 2 sets of those too) ;-)

best advice I can give you....get whatever you can from insurance....give them every receipt you can find, pics, vids, etc. Get your money and move on to something else.....dwelling on it isn't worth it.

                  That sucks ass.
Probably doesnt do anything but slow them down a hair, but ive put decent alarms on all my vehicles over the last few years, in hopes of preventing the theft(I know, probably wont if they want it bad enough).

What insurance company do you have?
I deal with them every day for Total loss claims, but most arent nicer/newer cars...

Sucks to hear. I know all to well how it feels to have a car stolen.

Green 93 coupe... Stolen and never found
Red 93 coupe....stolen 4 times! First three times they never got very far due to a fuel pump kill switch. The fourth and final time all I got back was a firewall and my willwood proportioning valve.

They shouldnt be too bad to deal with hopefully.
Do your homework and see what your truck is really worth, im sure you owe less than its worth(if not, hope you had gap).

Check out some of the popular sites, autotrader/cars.com, see what comparable trucks are going for(similar mileage, same options, etc).
Theyll probably generate an automated report first(since its new, plenty of comps) if the numbers seem skewed from what you researched you can also ask for a comp report with more real world values(just do your homework, they can go up or down from the first report quite easily)

If you need a hand with it let me know, I can try to shoot you some numbers on some comps.

Had farmers on both of mine...they were great for me and very fast too. No complaints. Hopefully no different for you.

I have 22" 420's on my suburban and they ride awsome. No shaking at all from them, maybe a design change?

To the OP, that really sucks! Sorry to hear.

I had 305/50/20's that rode like shit. I switched to 285/50/20's about 2 weeks ago that rode AWESOME - I was finally happy for the most part with my truck.
