Pretty sure there was a money scandal involving Michael Steele. In fact, I'm 150% positive it was one of the several issues that forced him to resign his chairmanship and not seek re-election.

The mayor presides over the city council and is a voting member. The coucil appoints the city manager, who really is in charge of the purse strings after the council approves a budget.

Oh ok, I remember listening to Russ Marting one morning and he was talk to Mayor Leopard (sp?) and Russ was asking him why he doesn give Price the boot and the Mayor explained they were more equals. At least thats the way I understood it. Sounded all crazy.

If he were to be removed would this go to a special election in his district to fill the seat? I feel pretty certain the people in his district will elect someone just like him to take his place.
