Get some music you like to sing along to, something to chew / snack. I prefer corn nuts, beef jerky and sunflower seeds. I also like to stock up on Gatorade and water, because I can drink them both room temp and don't have to stop as much. I try to limit my stops to once every 5 hours, which usually coincides with fuel and a hot meal.

I'm getting older, so I cut the drive up into 10 hour sessions. Going to MIR this past weekend, I stopped in Nashville, which is exactly half way to Maryland (700 miles, or 10 hours approx.) I also find that it helps me to have a known stopping point, so I always book a room somewhere and stop there, no matter what time it is (as long as I've done my 10 hours for the day).
Other than that, I avoid caffeine on the road and heavy meals, usually just drinking water and getting a light snack when I'm hungry. That, and good music on the Satellite (Classic Rewind and Classic Vinyl kept me going on the last trip) should work.

I drive 10 or so each way each month. I have a lot of sunflower seeds (works for me to keep busy). When I can't take it anymore I stop and get a candy bar and a coke. I have sirius radio so listen to fox for a couple hours then comedy and keep switching it up. It goes by pretty fast. TN is a somewhat decent drive, there are a few things to look at.
