I have made numerous 2000-2200 mile trips(Fort Worth to Maine or Florida), only stopping for gas, food, and restroom breaks. Stopping every 300 miles to stretch and walk a bit helps a lot. Audio books, mp3s, or satellite radio is a must. Like MK said, leaving at night and beating the traffic really helps. I always carry a cooler filled with juice, water, and snacks as well.

Holy shit. I deserve everything I get for that.

Yes I know there are two time zones. It is a Monday, I need to wake up.

When you get tired, pull into a truck stop and take a quick nap. Even 15 minutes can make a world of difference.

When I moved to Utah, I drove just 10 hours a day and it kicked my butt!

I can not count the amount of Red Bulls and Redlines I drank to keep awake.

              Sooo Good luck!

Billy, Robert here makes my point exactly. Fill yourself with caffeine and sugar and you can barely keep your eyes awake after a few hours. Lay off that shit until you're almost there!

I can not drive for more than 4 hours without getting tired, so a 5 hour power or a redline would get me further. Its not suggested, but its what I had to do without napping every 4 hours.

Yep went to Kansas and back last year and all my co pilots pussed out. Drove 23 straight to pick up a Jeep and bring her home. Never really got tired though it was kinda weird. Never again though. LOL

Pull nosehairs, yell and scream, slug self in the nuts. I drove here from Cali by myself. I was so wound up on energy drinks and trying to concentrate on staying awake that I couldn't sleep when I stopped and tried to so I ended up doing it with no rest. Did not feel so well when I arrived.

I just made the drive to Chicago and back this weekend. Had two other people with me, but I drove 8 of the 15 hours on the way back and still had plenty left in the tank when we arrived in Dallas. Take regular breaks and walk around, keep the a/c on blast, and vary up what you're listening to. I'd leave early in the morning as well, I seemed to just cruise through when it was dark and early out.

Cali and Nevada should be a breeze in September!
