She did her student teaching in my MIL's classroom, I met her a couple of times, and bumpped into them (hubby and wife with the 3 kiddos) at academy a couple weeks ago.

I agree, most of the teachers when I was in school were in the late 40s-50s age. These days they are all retired and Ive noticed from my kids school there has been a wave of fresh young people coming into teaching.
