They're bad apartment dogs because they are so yappy. Any little noise and they are barking like crazy. The breed was raised to be aggressive chasing rodents, gophers and shit like that.

As for being smart, I'll disagree with you on that one. Another thing, you have to watch their food, they will eat until they burst - no exaggeration.

I've heard that about them also. Generally regarded to be pretty dumb dogs. After this thread, it sounds right up Bobs alley.

Ive had a dachshund before and I know about the food, and yappyness but the one we had, was very quiet, and very smart. I should have brought my Blue Heeler with me when we left but chose to leave him at home where he was happy.

It's true. Even if a doorbell rings on the TV from a show or something, the dog runs to front door barking and attacking like someone is there at the door. Not the brightest animals for sure.

She's usually a very sweet dog. But if you bother her when she's eating, or in her crate, you may lose a finger. lol

            qft

We used to have one, that sumbitch would kill anything that wasn't a bigger dog that got in our back yard. Rats, snakes, spiders, he didn't give a shit, and he was loud as hell too.

I hate it when people dont follow through. Its one of my largest pep-peeves. When I tell someone something I follow through. Even when I sold my Mark I agreed to the guy for $3200 and said he could come get it. He had to wait to get off work in 3 hours and then drive another 3 hours. In the meen time another dude pulls in and offers $3400 right on the spot.
I called the other dude hoping he changed his mind but he said he was just about to leave with his extra driver.
I kept my word and held the car for him. I get bit in the ass more then not but I still keep my word cause I expect others to keep their word to me. Undo to others and all that shit.
Good judgment comes from bad decisions and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.

Check for overbite/jaw issues and back issues. When the dogs are that cheap, it's usually for a reason. Unless it's not a purebred of course.

I honestly got bored. I can reopen your case file and see what turns up if you'd like.

OT...we bought ours at Canton for $50, no papers. Other than having to cure it of the mange when we first got him he had nary a problem for 14 years. Had to put him down about 6 mo ago due to kidney failure.
