prior to this amended bill, it was technically illegal to sell baked goods from your home without a commercial kitchen.

My wife probably has no idea about this. She makes a cake every now and then for people, no where near making a living off of it.

Tim - Does this mean you are getting back in the game?

For the rest - you're allowed to make them. But you Weren't allowed to sell them if you made them out of your house. Some douche/cunt on the old board reported him to the Health Inspector, due to jealousy. That's why he had to stop.

I have been tinkering with the idea, but it would only be part time and I wouldn't advertise, if I do it at all. The other stipulation to the amended bill is that total revenue has to remain under $50,000/yr (I should be fine LOL).

Not that my opinion matters, but I think you should. You had a talent that most can't even comprehend. Just do it on a limited basis. Specialty cakes only, they bring a higher price, and something you can take pride in.

I'm about 99% sure I'm starting Culinary school in the fall. My company just signed off on footing the bill. I really have no reason not to, now.

Thanks man. If I do, it will be very limited and they won't be cheap I just don't have the time anymore, not to mention the ex-wife has all my supplies. Maybe eventually though.

Good luck in culinary school, I almost went way back when until I saw the cost. It's badass you have a full ride.

I am an idiot. I looked over that site for probably 2-3 minutes for the phrase making caking. Then I finally realized what was going on here.....

Appreciate it! I'm in a unique position, I can barter equipment for education. Lol. That said, I likely won't be doing CIA or Le Cordon Bleu. El Centro has a relatively new facility, and is a very well respected culinary program at a fraction of the cost of the other two. That's most likely the route I will go.

You sir, will definitely be the minority at El Centro.

How much does something like that cost. My wife really is a good cook and enjoys that kind of stuff. her only problem is she doesn't want to miss out on our family time if she worked as a chef or something. She feels the busy time of the days would be when we would be together as a family.
