    I use a 10$ tarp and some 550 cord.

The best thing about hammock camping is the breeze in hot weather. It makes camping in Texas summer almost bearable.

Don't get one with spreader bars. The beautiful things about a hammock are simplicity and comfort.

That's pretty cool but where would I put my window unit? Camping with a/c > sweating your balls off.

i camp in a hammock often, it's the best sleep I've ever had in the woods. Set up can be easier/harder than a tent depending on the situation, but it's WAY more versatile. No flat ground? No problem.

started a topic camping people in here

    camping people in here

i always go camping with friends in july and i usually take a small tent, air mattress and hang a battery operated fan from the 'ceiling' of the inside of the tent for air. of course in july its always hot as fuck even at night

i stumbled upon this and was curious if anyone has ever seen/used these?

this one has poles to make it more flat

i dont really have a problem with using the tent/air mattress but just curious if these have enough pros over the tent setup to make me buy one. after looking online it looks like you can get them for around $100 or more

    thanks
Working...
