Anyways, I've never slept in a hammock for more than an hour or so, but I don't think my back would feel good if I slept all arched like that for a whole night.
If you like camping in warm weather, you really, really owe it to yourself to give it a shot. You sleep off axis from the hammock in a much flatter orientation. It's pretty awesome.
They have some leisure hammocks at Big Lots for $12. I'm thinking of getting one to try out. I can't imagine sleeping all night in one but you got me curious to try it out.

If it's not a brazilian cut, you won't be able to lay diagonally, and the curve will be pronounced.

Nothing wrong with sleeping an hour or two, getting up to stretch, make a burger, have a couple of beers, piss and go back to sleep. Rinse/repeat until time for breakfast.

If the rope is a small guage, make sure you have something like a towel to lay on or your skin will look like a expanded metal mesh after sleeping on it.
