How about Alcyone? It is the brightest star of the Pleiades constallation which is the symbol that Subaru uses for their emblem. STi is the brightest star of the Subaru line.

You'd have to be a nerd to get it but the Subby world is filled with that kind of mentality.

Hey I have an STi also... 2011 Blue Hatch.. I thought about custom plates, and a username for this board, etc... but just decided to be incognito and get regular TX plates and not make up any aliases (yet)...

I am having a blast driving it... I bought it in Phoenix, drove it to Cali, then to Denver, then back to Dallas for work.... and had to put up with 91 Octane in all of those states but TX... finally I really was getting something out of it when I hammered down in Sport #.

I'm down here in Houston now and with the DA being what it is and the thick humid air it is running its best. The gas mileage is terrible unless you drive it in the Economy setting and stay in 6th as much as possible.... I have gotten as good as 25 MPG with conservative driving and as low as 16.8 when ragging it out..

It was fun cruising with a bunch of Mercedes', BMW's and a Lambo at 130 coming into Vegas a couple of months ago.... with my luggage carrier on the roof, lol...
