  • Early termination fee on electric contract?

so i switched providers with 3 months left on my contract so i knew i'd get hit with the early termination fee, no complaint there. thing is, i got billed for $350, although on my contract paperwork from 3yrs ago has it down for $150.

is this a normal thing for them to screw up, or did i miss something here? this is with startex and the early term fee i'm seeing is line 5A "early termination liquidation damages (residential)", and also the same thing on the welcome letter when i first signed up.

Just call them and tell them that. Then fax a copy to them if you need to. Startex is horrible about termination fees.

Fuck 'em. File bankruptcy and shred the bill. Thats what I'd do.
