Fwiw, my TL-S absolutely raped my stock 5.0 fox off the line... tested it more than once.

Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

Leah, some pads have indicator tabs on them that are designed to squeel when they get worn. They shouldn't do it when new, but who knows? If you have them out again go ahead and remove those tabs.

Horse hockey! I'll admit, the G35 wasn't on the top of my list of lookers when I was shopping for a car, but everything about it has grown on me to the point that there's hardly anything I would change. It'd be pimpy if the coupe front end would fit on it, but oh well.

If it has the problem tranny, you can call an acura dealer and they will let you know if the recall has been done/tranny replaced. If it has, its under warranty until 100K i believe.

The TL and the Accord are likely the best bets. I would think that they would both be about the same reliability wise, though the parts for the Acura would be higher.

The IS would probably be very reliable as well, as was mentioned the 2JZ in n/a form is pretty bulletproof as long as you maintain it. Parts for these can be pricey, if needed. The gas mileage will be worse than the Hondas but not as bad as the F-body. Yes, I know that Jim Bob gets 32MPG in his 700hp Z28, but around town in the real world they do far worse.

The F-body really doesn't deserve to be on the list, IMO. They were cool enough cars when they were new, but not terribly high quality, and time has not been kind to most of them. Parts can be had very cheaply, which is a plus I suppose.

So your advice is to buy the F-body built in Canada?

Relax man. These are all used cars. Japan has already gotten their money.

Always liked the IS300's, still would like to have one some day. So many are getting riced out though.
