  • Selling modified cars

Seems like I notice quite a few car's that were built very nice and after finishing the build they sell it.

I would think if someone put all the time and money into something they would enjoy it. Just always wondered that, sure there is the money thing, but you knew that going in.

There have been quite a few people on these boards that have done that.

People get bored and want to continue their hobby on another car.

There are people that find the joy in the build. We had a neighbor that spent 3 years putting together a kit car, and sold it three months after finishing it to start a new project.

I'm always in awe of the stuff stretch puts together and then sells.

I've always wondered the same thing. Best i can figure is that they enjoy building the car more than driving it.

My parents always seemed to do that with their houses. They would get em just how they want, then end up moving.

Unlike Forrest, who indubitably brags about all the "free" trucks he's had over the years.

I'm always wondering about this too. It's always something like "only 50 miles on freshly built motor". It always makes me scratch my head and often scares me off.

This. I've built a couple that about the time I was "done" I'd get to looking around at the next build.

Its the thrill of the chase. Similar to guys who date girls for a short time and then find another, or have multiple girlfriends.

Sounds like me. Right after I finish a bike I get bored with it and sell it. Only one that I have kept is my R1 ... everything else goes as soon as I finish.

A lot of people are never satisfied, even when they have all the need and have built what they wanted, people always want more or something different.
I almost have my truck and stang the way I want, the truck ain't going nowhere, stang, once done, probably the same. I'm pretty content and enjoy driving both.

If My people, which are called by My name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
