Torn between a streetbike and a vortech kit.

Pros of bike: Save tires and miles on my car.
Great on gas for all the short trips I make
Secondary transportation allows me to do more to the car

Cons: 1-1.5k more than the vortech
Danger factor


Probably looking at a 2002-2006 600 or 1000 depending. I've ridden dirtbikes all my life and my dad would really like to have one too, But a vortech would be fun also. Vortech or bike??

Stay away from the streetbike. I didn't buy my first one until I was 25, thank god. Any earlier and I surely would have died on it.

Just some advice, not like we're the same. A streetbike is a whole new kind of "fast", and it takes some maturity. I rode mine everyday, and the only way of filling the void when I sold it was to buy a very nice cobra. If you have that, then get to work on it. Good luck.
