Deer in the metroplex?

Last night while exiting 35 at Ovilla Rd I saw a small deer in the middle of the service road which sprung into the brush as I approached it on my bike. Having lived in NW Austin for over a year it was a regular thing to see numerous deer near the freeways at night...but I have NEVER seen one up in this area. Anyone else seen any around here?

We had 3 deer run through our backyard this past winter here in Westlake/Keller. In the past 10yrs. I've seen just about everything you would typically see in the country, but seeing those deer was a first.

I saw 4 deer in a field in Southlake last week. Right off 114 before the Dove rd exit.
A few years ago a 10/12 point ran out into the intersection of hwy26 and what ever that road is in front of The great wolf lodge during moring traffic. Someone got a vid of it and it was on the news.

I've seen them dead on 635/121 just North of the airport.

I've seen a few hopping across 820 in Benbrook, just to the west of 377. Not nearly as entertaining as the turkeys that used to wander across the highway though.

I saw 4 deer in a field in Southlake last week. Right off 114 before the Dove rd exit.

I have seen deer in that field for 3 years now, there was a non-typical 18 pt buck hit there last year by a teenage girl in a Honda. I have seen dead at that area: buck, does, hogs and turkey. pretty cool they're still around. I got real close to 6 deer: 4 does 2 small bucks at 26 and bass pro drive.
