You obviously have little knowledge about insurance.

We had a work truck stolen about 2 years ago with the key in the ignition, insurance still paid it off.

That's what a friend of mine (policeman) told me. Guess I believed him. He said they could prove it was negligence on your part and wouldn't have to pay the claim and that you could get a ticket.

Kind of like when you go to the store, leave it running with the keys in it and it gets stolen.

I am hoping there is $7500 in damage, But I figure the rims & Tires at best are $2000.

The Steering Column $700 at best if that.

Provided there is nothing wrong with the motor! Also I bought the OEM replacments from a Private person. I do have a recipet from the person. But not sure if Progressive will cover it!

If its not Uncle Sam taking my money for PAID OFF PROPERTY or me paying taxes on getting my USED GTP tagged & registerd & paying a $200 fine for not tagging it when I bought it. The thieves are taking my money!

We believe her Tahoe was targeted. The water park hasnt had a vehicle stolen in over 6 years & I always bring my Rott to the front porch at night for cheap securtiy.

About a week ago my dog was going crazy at 2 am & I come outside loaded & saftey off & I let my dog off the lead. He tears ass across the street & down the alley. Comes back about 10 mins later with a busted jaw & bleeding. I wonder if its the same guys from that night that took her Tahoe!

wrapping the plastic clips in the dash with some felt REALLY helps shut the interior noise up in a chebby.

If you like your vehicle, it should have a quality alarm. They are not foolproof but they make your vehicle less desirable than one that does not have an alarm.

And releasing your dog to go after someone OFF your property is a mistake. It is unfortunate that your dog suffered the consequences of its owner's bad decision.

Im not sure what is going to happen with the Tahoe. But if we do get it back if we have to leave it somewhere for a long period of time instead of spending money on a alarm I will just disconnect the negative side of the battery.

I would much rather let my dog off his lead to stop thieves rather then use deadly force!

A viable long term storage plan but wasn't it taken from Hawaiian Falls?

Disconnecting the battery every time you reach a destination will get tiresome.
And if broken into, the disconnected battery is not likely to be discovered until after the ignition is broken.

Regrettably, there is no convenient foolproof solution.

I would much rather let my dog off his lead to stop thieves rather then use deadly force!

Unless you can prove that they were on your property before you attack them, either choice is a bad decision.
