they get stolen is because they can crawl under it and put the transmission in neutral and push it anywhere they need after that

How many miles did it have? I'm pretty sure its worth more than that if the mileage isn't crazy (used car prices have been on the rise the past several months).

If you have receipts for the wheels you should be ok. If it's found and its repairable, your insurance company should get you equal value wheels. If it's totaled, it should increase the value of the vehicle a tiny bit which should be reflected in your settlement check.

The same with the newest ones too. GM must be making bank with replacement OEM 20"/22" wheels!

Actually, it depends. Most likely, this is not correct. If he didn't have aftermarket coverage for the wheels, they will not be covered. If the vehicle is found missing the wheels, the insurer will likely replace with OEM wheels. If it's not recovered, they won't add any value to the actual cash value of the vehicle.

They would be covered, they are NOT aftermarket they are OEM wheels. And yes OEM upgrades increase the value of the vehicle. Ive seen plenty of total loss claims at work that Im fairly confident the OP would be compensated for his wheels (especially since he has receipts which is key).

What insurance company is this OP?
