  • Pet Peeve? Possibly

Anyone work in an office and can hear others talking all day?

There a guy here in our office that has an "LY" Fetish.

He talks to guys all day long and loves words that end in LY.

    Usually
    Most likely
    Normally
    Essentially
    Probably
    Occasionally

I could LITERALLY go on for hours with the LY words he uses.

Anyone else know someone like this?

    Slight rant off.

Nope, work in a basement with 2 other guys that love to either talk about stuff we have in common or we keep our mouths shut. Great work environment.

I have this Marine that sits next to me and he calls everyone on the phone "Bro or brotha" and he's vanilla. He also thinks an Elliptical trainer is called an epileptical trainer.
I think his point is that the fish got low balled, fucked in the catfish asshole and you paid half price. The worst part was the fish explaining to his fish friends why his asshole smelled like redneck

Cocksuckers farting, then blowing it across the shop with the air nozzle.

Nope. My office is on the bottom floor and tucked away from everyone other than my assistant and a bathroom. My biggest pet peeve at my office is our Mexican runner that apparently eats beans and crap all day/night and then allows his back-bottom to violently throw them up in the bathroom outside my door and doesn't use any type of spray to mask the devil-like odor.

As for the LY peeve, I think that would drive me nuts too. I have a couple of buddies that have fallen in love with the word "phenominal" when describing something good - i.e. "that was a phenominal Big Mac."

                    Epileptics need exercise too.
Good judgment comes from bad decisions and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.

Not necessarily on topic, but my wife had a co-worker recently get fired for taking hour long naps in her car two to three times a day. And we're talking your standard 8 - 5 work schedule. It was her bosses' pet peeve that she had an employee on the payroll that was mysteriously MIA throughout the course of the day. Supervisor called HR. HR manager went into parking lot one morning around 10ish, knocked on her car window, and woke her up. She was snoozing in the back seat. They gave her the opportunity to explain herself and initially she refused to go into detail. Well, once she realized she was seconds away from being escorted off the property she disclosed she has Bulimia, which accounted for the chronic fatigue. Well, they told her if you can produce a Dr.'s note affirming your diagnosis, we can and pretty much have to make concessions(she was a minority-for what it's worth). She declined, citing that it violated her privacy. Even went to arbitration. End result. No Dr. note was ever produced = She got canned. Probably one of the most ridiculous work related stories I've heard.
