  • is this a pretty good deal for what it is?

my parents need one of these to keep the dogs(one medium size and a miniature pinscher) in a certain part of the house. after doing a little bit of searching it looks like this should do the job. oh and the one pictured has a smaller door for a cat or small dog but they dont need that feature. just need a tall one cause the medium sized dog is still a puppy and might get a lil bigger

    $71.99

sounds decent to me but i figure i would ask you guys to see if they can be found for cheaper locally. i'm not gonna drive all around town to save $5 but if they can be had for $20 less then i dont mind

    thanks guys

I like how the cat looks all arrogant about it too, lol.

Sorry dude I don't know where to find one of those, good luck!

Bought one of these for my lab when he was a puppy. It lasted 4 hours. We set it up and then went to dinner. When we came home he met us at the door and the thing was destroyed. After that I bought a metal kennel thats big enough for a Great Dane off of craigslist for $40. Brand new its over
$300 and he loves that thing. We leave him out when leave now but he will still go and sleep in his kennel as we just leave the door open. Plus it's great when we need him put up for a guest or someone coming to do work on the house.

i just picked up one of those from petsmart...and you're right; it was about $300. unfortunately, i needed it that day, so i didn't have time to scour craigslist.

May be ok for your dog, but my puppy would make that thing his bitch. He's destroyed everything I purchased, including metal crates. That one does look pretty nice though.

Get crates. Dogs are den animals and feel most comfortable in those environments. Those gates won't last long at all.

This is what I finally got for my dog (shes a 80lb pitbull) after countless other crates failed!! She was quite the escape artist before I got this one. Its costly but well worth it!!

                  buy them here...

Lol when mine was about 2 months old she would get out of her crate while I was at work. Same crate now but she got used to it and will stay in.

Same here...I tried the plastic crates first...nope..she chewed around the latch and got out!! Then the metal crates she simply just bent the shit outta the wires and eventually busted the joints!! She has never gotten out of this cage!! the welds on this are solid as well as the bars

they have a dog door on the back door that leads into the kitchen but they want to put something to separate them from the kitchen and rest of the house

that way they can play outside all day but also come into the kitchen to eat/drink and get out of the heat

Sounds like a metal door would be the only option...the medium dog could easily jump over the gate....seen it done a million times!!

the bigger dog doesn't really jump and is pretty lazy actually lol. the little dog though is a jumper so i would need to get something he cant leap over
