I had a Hutch Windstyler back in the day. Tha thing was built like a tank. The bike I miss the most is the PK Ripper I used to have back in the mid 80's.

I still have an old dyno air at my parents' house in the attic, I think it's in pieces, though. And I'm lazy, so yeah.

My favorite bike was a Robinson SST frame, profile 175mm 3pc cranks, some custom wheels w/d&d revolver hubs, GT megabite tires...hmm what else, dk narrow stem, power lite aluminum bars, narrowed, regina hollow pin chain. I can't believe I remember all that. Fresh jive grips, pit bull rear brake? Can't remember the name of the lever. Want to say mx99 was part of it??? Can't remember what forks were on it. Even had aftermarket shoes in the brake.

I didn't race more than a handful of times, was more into dirt jumping, but was overly concerned with weight for whatever reason. That's why I narrowed the bars. Drilled holes in everything I could. Cut excess material off the seat post, drilled the seat clamp, drilled tons of holes in a plastic GT seat before getting the little uni seat. Drilled the front sprocket which was already aluminum. I removed links from the chain and moved the rear axle forward in the drop-outs then cut the excess material away from the drop outs.

I was a short kid (shit, I'm a short adult NOW) and moving the rear axle up ~ 1 1/2" was probably the best mod I ever did to that bike.

Bike got stolen, but happened around the time I bought my first car, wasn't too concerned at that point.

Wonder how hard it would be to track down similar parts and build a replica. When my parents sold the house I grew up in I just threw out an old Robinson frame and redline flight 180mm 3pc cranks.

Sounds similar to a few of my old setups. I had an SST at one point also with profile SS 175s that got stolen LOL

heres an sst for sale locally

you could build a replica pretty easily, but wont be cheap.

if those flight cranks were the older us made cranks they were worth a couple hundred bucks.

Man, i remember all of this stuff. Hell I still ride powerlite 3 pieces and have a nice set of GT mohawk red hubs, laced to red odyssey t1000 rims. I bought a redline back in 05 and put all my old stuff on it.

I had a chrome 89 Team Robinson with all the shit they had in the day. my mom fucken gave it away when I got a Cannondale for graduation. was fucken pissed, bike weighed 14 lbs with regular wheels (not the flimsy powerlite skinny race wheels). It had the frame in the back that was continous with the bars in a rounded fashion. Guy at a Specialized dealer told me he saw just that frame go for over 1 grand a few times on ebay.. stupid parents. lol
