A corpse. Somebody thought a person was stalking/casing an apartment as a car with occupant was parked with engine running all day (this was in winter). Cop gets there before us, she couldn't get the guy to respond, popped the glass. He was dead. Liquor bottles all over the place. Coroner shows up and its determined he probably drank himself to death.

Fastest 8 hours of my life.

I need to do a ride along in Sherman, now.

    You ride with Jimmy?

In KELLER? WTF.... I lived there about 12 years ago not too far from 1709 and 377 and it was as quiet as the Walton's residence. What's going on there now?

Yeah man I was riding with TannerM in C-Ville that night. The entire Keller PD was on that one call so they sent a few Southlake and one C-Ville LEO to "Shag" calls is what they call it. We didn't get much details, but I didn't see anything in the news so I don't know yet.

Also 12 years ago? Dude Keller is BOOMING now. When was the last time you drove through Keller?

Yeah I've seen Google maps and see all the shopping complexes and crap. The last time I was in that area was about five years ago. I tried to do my old work commute and ended up getting lost, if that tells you anything...
            But is it turning ghetto?

I don't believe so... More like Southlake. Bunch of big fucking houses going up everywhere.

No, mainly because I wanted to do a ride along where I lived. See the area. Guy I was with pointed out some crack houses, which was eye opening. Not a mile from my neighborhood.

Oh, and he did point me out to the shotgun if the SHTF.

Damn...I forgot we checked out a burglarized apartment, too. He was amazed on the amount of crap that went down during my ride along. He said it was never like this on a Thursday night. The fire crew (we saw twice, the wreck and the domestic dispute) was saying I was a bad omen!

I'm hoping that most of the bad stuff is just economy related (bad things happen during bad times, etc...) but I'm starting to wonder now.

There was a neighbor just 3 houses from me who was raped by a 20+yo white male who broke into her house via an open back window (estimated about 3:00am), waited for her to take kids to school then raped her when she got home. Fucker hid in a closet the whole time, they are guessing.

Three days later, I'm sitting in my front office room next to the front door waiting for my daughter to come home, and I hear the front glass screen door open (wooden door was open). I'm not expecting my daughter to be home for another hour and wonder why she's early. Next my [new] 2yo boxer walks up to the door and growls. She hasn't done that before or since. Then the door closes. Who ever it was saw the dog and stood there for about 30 seconds then closed the door.

I got curious and looked out but saw nobody. So... someone tried to walk in my house - uninvited. .45 was in the bedroom so no help there.

Also, there have been "numerous" thefts lately too. Mostly vehicle break-ins.

So, not the same Keller you used to live in.

                          It's not bad honestly.

Yeah most of the LEO's do. Hell Tanner like I said in a post earlier has a few surprises in the Charger as well.

                            • Great job - you should be proud of yourself for going with your instincts and doing the right thing. I also think it's cool of you to try and get some props for the postman. I do the same thing when I have a constable or sheriff's deputy do a really good job for me on serving someone or collecting on a writ of execution or something similar.
