Pest Exterminator Recommendations..

I have a pretty bad flea infestation that apparently is coming in from the yard. I have tried bombing the house twice with foggers but that only slowed down the infestation. I have sent estimate requests to several exterminators but haven't heard back yet. Can anyone on here recommend a good one that is fair priced? Anyone on here do it for a living as I would rather support local business then the big chains when possible. TIA!!

We had a pretty bad case several years ago. We bought some of the stuff that hooks onto the hose and sprays the yard for fleas, then bombed. But the best thing we did that really made a difference was to use the powder stuff and treated the carpets. You sprinkle it down, let it set for a bit, then vacuum it up. That pretty much got rid of everything.

What you need to get:

1 can of precor with IGR
Packet of Demon WP
IGR Additive

Use the can of precor in the house once you have vacuumed good and thrown the bag away. Vacuum again.

Use the Demon WP mixed with IGR in a pump sprayer in your yard everywhere. Do it once and then about a week or two later. Those bombers are crap and what you really want is the IGR to inhibit their growth cycle. Some bombs only kill the living ones if they make contact with them and not the larvae. The demon and precor have a residual effect for 90 days I believe. Will cost you about $50.

Do you have pets that go outdoors? Our neighbors have fleas and won't domshit about them. I have a 100' hose and use a ladder to climb the fence and spray their yard with over the counter flea killer twice early in June, I treat my yard with the same stuff and use a gel type flea deterent on my dogs backs. It's easier than bombing constantly.

Nope, check your local feed stores or you can find it online. He is spot on with this method. The igr is like birth control for fleas.

Be sure to vacuum after he treats, this picks up the many thousands of eggs you have all over your house! (also don't forget to trash the bag after each vacuuming)
