    • Thank god I've got places to crash in Austin. Might be taking a travel trailer out to the track instead, though.

yeah, i got the email. I'm uninterested in the PSL. I'm broke enough. I haven't talked to the rep yet about ticket prices.

i think right now they will only talk about the psl. not even sure if they have pricing for F1 determined. i wanted at least 2 in the main grand stands but not willing to pay that much. i'll just buy some general admission tickets.

                            • Tickets go on sale on June 10th!!!!

                              http://circuitoftheamericas.com/tickets

                              from jalopnik...

                              http://jalopnik.com/5915965/the-chea...nd-prix-is-159

The Cheapest Seat For The U.S. Grand Prix Is $159

Tickets for the United States Grand Prix in Austin went on sale today on Ticketmaster and on the COTA website. They tickets are expensive, but relatively cheap for what you get.

Here is the full list of prices for the three-day weekend, as confirmed by the Circuit of the Americas itself.

                              General Admission: $159
                              Grandstand - Turn 11: $269
                              Grandstand - Turns 2, 3, 4 and 5: $299
                              Grandstand - Turn 12 (lower rows): $399
                              Grandstand - Turn 12 (upper rows): $499

For a three-day pass of one of the world's biggest international sporting events, that's not a bad deal at all. It's certainly a lot cheaper than priority personal seating and, surprisingly, every single other Formula One Grand Prix in the calendar. That said, if you just wanted to see a more all-American open-wheel series, Indy Car would be a lot cheaper.

                              • In before Grape comes back in to tell us how it's definitely not happening.

Not that it's definitely happening, but it's looking good. ALMS just joined the ranks of 2013 race series coming to Austin as well.
