Some spray on bug killer that attaches to the water hose like weed b gone would work good for the yard. Will be doing that tomorrow as well.

Yeah that. I had about 15 of those come up on me in the past three years. Some would clear up in a few days, others required a hospital visit. Nurse thought it was a spider bite, doctor never said, just lanced it and loaded me on anti biotics.

The problem with that lesion in that location is that it can spread into your knee joint causing a septic joint which is an emergency. You should be on antibiotics (bactrim or clindamycin) and the wound should be incised and drained and packed.
