my rants about this...
i drive a 2011 f-250 all over the country pulling a 30 foot trailer. my truck has the 6.7 powerstroke in it. anyways...
rant number 1: i was on my way to the augusta, ga area a few months ago and pulled off of I-20 somewhere in alabama to refuel. there was a '96ish camaro parked in front of the only diesel pump that i could access with my trailer behind me. there was no one near it and the hose was not attached. about 5 minutes later a "stupid motherfucker" comes out and walks up to the car. he stands there for a minute, does nothing, and then goes back into the store. about 5 MORE minutes later, this same guy and 2 other "stupid motherfuckers" come out of the store, all toting subway sacks. apparantly, after they fueled up (if they even did that) they thought it would be ok at a busy-as-hell travel stop to leave their car blocking the pump while they got their subway on. then, as is true "stupid motherfucker" style, they took their sweet time getting in and pulling away. i was pretty pissed but i am not a hothead, so neither me nor my Sig Sauer got out of the truck...
rant number 2: 2 weeks ago i was somewhere outside of Indiana, PA at a Sheetz travel stop. there was a halliburton yard across the highway and this is evidently the place where they fuel up. i have said 30 foot trailer behind my truck and am having to maneuver around much lot traffic to get in position behind one of the halliburton big rigs that has been sitting there for a few minutes. the driver is there with the truck and he hangs up the hose, so i think he is almost done. instead of pulling up, he goes inside. i still think this is no big deal, as i figure he is gonna go pay and then come back out. i shit you not, FIFTEEN FUCKING MINUTES LATER, he slowly walks out to his truck, carrying a bag of breakfast food from the restaurant inside the store. as i have said, i am no hothead, but i did stare him down with my windows down and i think he got the hint...
i try to give people the benefit of the doubt. i think gas pump rudeness is due to ignorance and stupidity as opposed to purpose maliciousness...
