Gas Pump Etiquette

I honestly don't give it that much thought, and I'd be willing to bet most other gas-powered drivers don't either. I pick a pump based on it's location and the side of the car that I need to face the pump and I don't really give a shit if I've slightly inconvenienced someone who may (or may not) pull in 5 minutes from now.

You should definitely confront them the next time you see them there. Give them a piece of your mind. Maybe not too big of a piece in your case.

Perhaps you could call ahead to the gas station and they could hold a pump for you? Or maybe make a reservation so you wouldn't have to wait? God forbid you can't start pumping fuel within 15 seconds of entering the parking lot.

Yeah, most diesel owners I see on a day to day basis are models of consideration and thinking of others.

I usally pull up to the free pump, and in a truck a lot of times I'll take the outside pumps because it's easier to maneuver around them.

Maybe all the other pumps were taken, but by the time you showed up some had cleared out. Holy shit, it takes like 4 minutes to pump gas!

It takes me 15+ minutes to fill up. I had to fill up in the hood last night, after we left the concert. Stephen looked at the pump, still running, and said "does this thing ever get full?" when it ran over $100. Lol.

It never really bothered me, until I was filling-up in east Texas a few months ago. There was ONE diesel pump, and sure as shit, a whole pack of motorcycles were parked at it. I believe I waited about 15 minutes before I got to fill-up! Of course they were all hardcore with their vests, patches, do-rags, etc...."The Mavericks" was their MC
