Because then he could flush all the valuable evidence like bank statements down the toilet! You can't just go down to a bank and get those statements, they only print them out once. ONCE. Kind of like that raid in Phoenix a while back, we all know they had to break in because that guy could have flushed his body armor and fake police outfit right down the toilet, then you got no case! Think about it!

A buddy of mine's uncle was in a house when something along these lines happened.

Evidently the story goes that the cops didn't announce themselves, and the individuals he was visiting were drug dealers. The door came flying open, and two of the guys sitting on the couch unloaded their weapons on the cops coming through the doors. My buddy's uncle ran for the bathroom and jumped in the bathtub when the entire house got lit up with gunfire.

After everything was over he was arrested and tried on multiple charges one being accessory to murder of two police officers. This happened in the 70s, and he's still in jail.

If I had a dollar for every "wrong place at the wrong time" story, I'd be able to retire by now. I just love hearing third party information.
