I've taken some time off work, taking a little staycation and it's starting to bug me now that I keep waking up at 3am every single morning! I can go to bed at 12 or 2am and still wake up at 3 ish. It sucks cause my fam. is also on vacation, so when they're up and ready to do something, I want to take a nap. This sucks! I've actually been like this for a few years now, just sucks cause it's summer time and I'm trying not to be the wet blanket. You guy have a similar problem?

Melatonin helps me get back on track when I get off track due to work or other issues. Though alcohol may help you stay asleep longer, it's been proven that the sleep is no where near as restful when intoxicated. Maybe try a beer or two and see if that helps.
I second the Melatonin, but it's not a "sleep aid" in that it doesn't work immediately. Melatonin helps regulate your sleep cycle, so you have to take it continuously, and lay down at the same time each night. Don't expect it to knock you out, but you should start sleeping better after a few days of taking it.
