Why is it that people cannot stick to a topic that someone posts on the boards?

Why is it someone always has to talk shit?

Why is it people will chime in even if they don't know what they are talking about?

I remember back in 2000-2008 was great, now it just sucks.

No matter what thread I click on someone is bitching someone out, or someone doesn't read the OP's thread correctly.

Not saying I liked the old heavy moderated board. But it never fails that someone says something smart assed instead of helping.

Im guilty of teasing certain members but if I can offer help I will.

i keep hearing about how the old board was heavily moderated...i never noticed that. i was an admin there for almost 10 years, and i always gave people freedom to post whatever they wanted...even if it pissed some people off. there were obviously some things that had to be moderated and spammers were dealt with quickly, but not much else. (aside from porn) of course, i can't say much about several of the forums that i rarely dealt with...mostly just the back porch.

But there was alot of editing of posts and banning people for voicing their opinion. And now there is nearly not moderating that I have seen so we all run free.

A lot of people do take the board way too seriously. I just come here to put my finger on the pulse of what's going on with people in the metroplex like me. It's scary how many of us had hot rods in our teens and 20s and now have homes and families in our 30s and 40s - and it all unfolded here.

None of us 'old guys' give a fuck if you 'young guys' get it or like it, but our bitching about the same old shit in the same old threads doesn't seem to keep you away.

are you sure that i did? if i did, there damn sure was a reason...and i'm sure it was a very short ban. even if i gave people a week off, i usually reduced it to just a few hours or maybe a day. (if they didn't start creating a bunch of aliases)
