You can hit England and mainland Europe in the same trip but really you should consider it as two. It's very expensive to travel from France to England and vice versa on the Eurorail and you have to exchange currency.

I was in England last month and I had a pretty good time! We were staying an hour away from London so we bought a train ticket to get to London, which also included unlimited use of the subway station for the day. Turned out to be a good choice because there is a lot to see and it is spread out. There are a lot of cool things to see: London Bridge, Big Ben, tons and tons of old churches, castles etc (like 1200 year old type stuff). Couple lessons learned:
1: Call your bank and let them know you are going to be traveling so they dont turn off your card. Banks have a tendancy to shut down your card if you are using it multiple places (for your protection)
2: Wear hiking boots or running shoes. I wore my Doc Martins around the city all day and was hating life by night fall from blisters
3: Local food is bland! Eat restaurants of other cultures lol.

The beer is pretty good, the chicks are pretty hot, country is much more open to nudity and sex than we are, and they like to party. Have fun!

Greece is AWESOME in you're into history. A few years ago i spent a whole summer in the house where my grandfather was born in. We have a car to drive there so drove all around the country and saw all the ruins. Shit load of good food and hot women also.

I'll second this. All of it. I only got to go for 5 days, but I made the most of Thessaloníki and Athens.

Does the euro rail take you from country to country or just let you travel in a single country? I was looking at the unlimited travel pass for 15 days for ~$800 but the site is a little misleading on what that provides. I went to the Czech republic as a kid but don't really remember much about it. Didn't really think about going back. May have to consider that. The hostels from what I've heard are only $30 a night or so. If that's the case, I'm sure that's what I'll do. I'd really like to narrow it down to 2-3 countries so I can make the most out of 15 days on the ground. Biggest factors are night life and history as far as I'm concerned.

it goes country to country and or towns inside the country. Amsterdam to paris was 3 hours ride. paris to munich was a over night ride at 13 hours and munich to prague was about 6 hours. all the trips had plenty of stops inbetween but you stay on the same train the whole time. the whole pass together with everyone of those destinations was $400.
