Edit 3: Found a Yahoo answer post saying they used them to sell pallets, paid $2 for some, $1 for most.

I usually put an ad up on craigslist for someone to come haul them off for free. Last I checked the return(about $3 for a heavy/good condition pallet) wasn't worth the labor to load them up on a trailer and the fuel to get them there.Comment
