  • Forecloser question...

How do I go about finding out if a person has gotten the house back after it's been foreclosed on. My neighbor, who everyone can't stand, is supposedly moving back in after it's been foreclosed on for almost a year. I do know HSBC was the mortgage company.

Call the listing agent. If the previous owner has a foreclosure on their record, they're not getting another loan to buy it again. Unless HSBC was nice and backed off the foreslocure proceedings and did a modification or something to that effect I would guess you have nothing to worry about (as far as that neighbor coming back).

I'll check the "Foreclosure" listings, whats the address?

btw, the only thing that trumps a foreclosure is a forbearance plan or a payment of the TAD + reinstatement/attorneys fees.
