I HATE buying stuff from ebay or wherever, and the seller insists on using USPS. "They're cheaper!" they say. Look, dickwad. I'm paying for fucking shipping as it is, and I want to be able to track my shit. So use FedEx or UPS, assholes. It's not like it costs them any money....

For a while on ebay it did not list fed ex on shipping options, hell it may still not. I just put it in the add itself and I bet they hated it.

Only thing that really isn't cheap is FedEx Freight. But you get what you pay for, and it's excellent service.

That depends on the region as well. Go to an area where the drivers and dock workers are union (Boston/NYC) and Fedex will be very competitive. Then again everyone gets raped on any shipping there, maybe Fedex just doesn't profit as much there.

I'm never the shipper, or the consignee. So no amount of my bitching will do any good. I am, however, the one that gets all the irate phone calls web they fuck shit up, and let me tell you, it's so enjoyable....

USPS is cheaper when the item is shipping CONUS and 3lbs or less. OR it's REALLY dense and small enough to fit into one of their "flat rate" boxes. (AKA sheets of steal.)

I've never had a problem with any of the three as far as shipping goes... Untill about 3 weeks ago. Fedex "delivered" the package to where I needed it to go and had a guy who didn't even work at the place I had it addressed for sign for it. I contacted fedex and they said that they would get back to me in 24 hours, I heard from them and they then said that they were opening an investigation and would get back to me in 24 hours. It's been 2 and a half weeks and I have yet to hear from them. Not impressed with their problem solving skills.

After parting out a car and using the hell out of some shipping, I finally got a fedex account and a fedex freight account. On the little stuff, I can save about 20-25%, with the freight account, it's 65% off. Made actually trying to sell an engine online worthwhile knowing I can send it for $250 to just about anywhere in the U.S.

Because I can ship a "letter" anywhere in the continental US for 44 cents. Maybe for bigger stuff fedex is better, but call me crazy for not seeing your logic on this one.

Sometimes pieces of paper can be worth tens of thousands of dollars, depending on who you are dealing with. Not only that but your 44 cents gets it there in about a week, Fed ex will get it there tomorrow.
