There is just as many "You shouldn't be breaking the law asshole" comments as FTP comments. Just a subject of great debate, with strong opinions on both sides. Cops are very much needed in society, but it would be hard to have that kind of power every day without forgetting how your actions really effect the people you are ticketing/arresting. To them it is just another day at work, many times it is years of problems for the offender. So while pro-police people have a point about the offender deserving what they get. At the same time, the offender often gets in more trouble than they really deserved which pisses off the anti-police people. So it really is kinda easy to see both sides. The problem is that we aren't there everytime to know who is right, all we have is the story we are given and it usually reverts back to your overall opinion each time..223 > 911Comment

I don't know Matt personally, but I see a person with strong convictions in most of his posts.
In my eyes, after plenty of time spent with officers on multiple levels, I see it like this. About 80% are definitely on a power trip or dealing with underlying issues regarding being bullied, being the all-star high school jock who never made it pro, or whatever. 17% are generally decent people who are apathetic towards the former 80%, and 3% are the guys who should really be wearing the badge. The guys who take it as seriously as the job should be taken. Who go to work every day trying to make their community a better place to live.
Police, much like unions are much better in theory than they are in reality because the human element pollutes the ideals.Comment
