While you're getting your license taken, NOT blowing will always yeild better results and keep the guilt in doubt. Now, I've been out of the game since this mandatory blood-draw thing, but I'm sure it's not all agencies.

$1500 is the first. $5000 is the second.

If he blew, he's going to most likely get convicted. He better just hope he didn't blow over double. That's when they start really sticking it to you. I blew just over the limit on my DWI and all I got was a fine. Sucked, but it could've been worse, and it was a learning experience to say the least. Tell him if he has a decent job, to hold onto it because he's screwed for the next few years as far as getting jobs go.

DWI chargers are Bullshit IMO anyways.... It is a revenue generator and it punishes most people before they even commit a real crime...

Don't get me wrong i don't like drunk drivers, but i have seen some Seriously bullshit DWI cases..

But in the end i don't have to worry about this since i have a drink about twice a year.....

Hey it could be worse... the most expensive alcohol related event that i know of was 3 beers cost 525,000.00 for 3 guys...175,000.00 each. i know that one had to sting a little.

No drinking policy in Iraq for us contractors, 3 gentlemen caught with 3 sealed cans of beer... Fired on the spot... all three were mechanics making about 175k/yr.... thus the most expensive alcohol related incident that i know of.

I'm pretty sure you can't drink at all in Iraq right? And I wouldn't at getting fired for being a dumbass cost someone a salary. I'm sure lots of people that had good jobs in the states lost them to DWIs and still only counted the expenses directly towards the dwi lawyer and state shot.

I got a DWI once..... About 12-15 grand later & 180 days suspended license it's all over with.

I had just finished smoking marijuana and a cop pulled me over and I refused the breath/blood test so they took me to jail and charged me with DWI. I even passed the sobriety test, lol!

                  My lawyer cost roughly $5,000 - $7,500

                  Court Fees - $900

                  Probation fees - $68 monthly x18

Community service plus three different classes all of which you have to pay for.

Temporary drivers license..... $50-100 for work.

Reinstate drivers license yearly over the next three years...... $1,000

General Order #1. They'll kick your ass out of here for it. It's easy to get and if you keep it on the down-low, no one gives a shit (because most do it anyway). The only people that get busted are the bigmouths and the ones that take it too far. The MPs followed a drunk back to his room from a USO concert, only to find 138 bottles of various hooch and a large sum of money.

If what you say is true, your lawyer totally fucked you, and I wouldn't recommend him/her for any reason. You would have probably got the same deal without that lawyer.

I really wish there were harsher punishments for DWI and DUI's.

How do they know who's driving the car?

Besides, you won't be drunk when they come calling..
