If he blew, he's going to most likely get convicted. He better just hope he didn't blow over double. That's when they start really sticking it to you. I blew just over the limit on my DWI and all I got was a fine. Sucked, but it could've been worse, and it was a learning experience to say the least. DWI chargers are Bullshit IMO anyways.... It is a revenue generator and it punishes most people before they even commit a real crime...
Don't get me wrong i don't like drunk drivers, but i have seen some Seriously bullshit DWI cases..
But in the end i don't have to worry about this since i have a drink about twice a year.....
Hey it could be worse... the most expensive alcohol related event that i know of was 3 beers cost 525,000.00 for 3 guys...175,000.00 each. i know that one had to sting a little.

No drinking policy in Iraq for us contractors, 3 gentlemen caught with 3 sealed cans of beer... Fired on the spot... all three were mechanics making about 175k/yr.... thus the most expensive alcohol related incident that i know of.

I'm pretty sure you can't drink at all in Iraq right? And I wouldn't at getting fired for being a dumbass cost someone a salary. I'm sure lots of people that had good jobs in the states lost them to DWIs and still only counted the expenses directly towards the dwi lawyer and state shot.

I got a DWI once..... About 12-15 grand later & 180 days suspended license it's all over with.
I had just finished smoking marijuana and a cop pulled me over and I refused the breath/blood test so they took me to jail and charged me with DWI. I even passed the sobriety test, lol!
My lawyer cost roughly $5,000 - $7,500
Court Fees - $900
Probation fees - $68 monthly x18
Community service plus three different classes all of which you have to pay for.
Temporary drivers license..... $50-100 for work.
Reinstate drivers license yearly over the next three years...... $1,000Last edited by papapepper; 05-31-2011, 08:23 AM.

Originally posted by TannermIf you blow, 90 day susp., you refuse, 180 days. Techinally its ur duty by law to blow under a DWI investigation. WHen you signed for your DL, it said that you would blow if ever stopped and suspected of DWI. Just sayin...

I really wish there were harsher punishments for DWI and DUI's.
