    Could use a few prayers for the family.

    Got a text from my brother just a bit ago saying my nephew (Gavin) is in the ER with a 107.6 fever, they've been there for a couple hours and the doctors have yet to figure out what's wrong with him.

              Yeah that's what they're most worried about. They've already given him some sort of antibiotic shot as well as a steroid shot (not sure what that's supposed to do), as well has keeping ice packs on him to try and drop his temp.

                  Thats a life threatening temperature. The corticosteroid is probably for presumed meningitis. We give it with the first dose of antibiotics to decrease the inflammation in the brain/spinal cord. I am not saying the boy has meningitis...just that they are treating for worst case scenario until they figure out whats wrong with him.

                            Trying to find out what he takes but I know he takes something for the epilepsy. No other new meds.
