As a 92 Super Coupe owner, I disagree. Well except for the broke down part as I bought mine with two spun bearings and a bad transmission. However I should have fixed all that with a new crank, .20 over pistons, ARP main/head studs, high volume oil pump, and a brass syncro kit for the tranny.

The interior and comfort level of the SC completely outclasses the old TC. Only problem with the 89+ is how much they weigh.

I actually like the looks of the Super Coupes... but (despite what Eric says/thinks) I would trust a 2.3t/T5 all day/every day vs. the blown 3.8

I would hope so, as they had real struts and IRS. Plus they're ugly

            Sorry, I've had a bunch of '83-88s...

Biggest problem with the blown 3.8L is the rod bearings and the head gaskets. Precisely why I went with a high flow oil pump and the ARP bolts. I also dislike the EEC IV systems that Ford used. The M5R2 should be bulletproof except for the syncros.

isnt there a pic floating around with one on either BBS wheels or Fiske's. I always wanted one, but I always found them wore out or rollers. The craigslist one looks pretty good!

This one is in Keller... 351/Tremec, 4.10s, full Griggs suspension and Cobra brakes. Guy bought it for $3000.... DAMMIT.

I can't believe people HATE these cars they way they do.

ahh... the biggest problem with the 2.3t is kinda not much if you are familiar with them. auxiliary shaft every once in a blue moon maybe

stock 2.3t bottom end is good for ~400rwhp without too much trouble

TC weighs right around 3200-3400lbs and the SC weighs around 3600-3700lbs.

SC is good to at least 450RWP, maybe more. Rods and crank are forged stock.
