They are great cars, but they are querky. Rear neon tailight, deleted part, but you can find them on fleabay ( i never saw them under $500.00) HID bulbs tend to burn out rather quicky, deleted but can also be found. The blend doors for the AC always go out. Air suspension bags leakout front and back, they can be had through aftermarket but most get the airbag delete kit. The air compressor for the auto leveling system goes out due to over use from air leaks. Telescopic steering wheel can damn near can fall out of the dash and cause a dangerous situation, still availabe through Ford and fairly inexpensive. A few more things I cant think of right now, but I got rid of mine after I started having some problems and most stuff is expensive to fix or darn right hard to get.
The motor is 4.6 DOHC 4v and most ANY mods that go on a Cobra will work on this car.
Anything you want to know about these cars can be found here, I suggest doing some reading before you purchase:
Look all you want, she can't find anyone else who treats her as bad as I do, and I keep her self esteem so low, she wouldn't think twice about going anywhere else.

Those problems are all on the Gen 2 marks, not the Gen 1's. The ideal Mark VIII would be a 96 LSC. The 93-96 are great, but the headlights absolutely suck balls, you have to add a second set behind the grill to be even remotely safe.
I have had two, a 94 and a 96, both were great. Decently quick, decent gas mileage, reliable, and nice to drive. I am currently rebuilding the engine and transmission in the Mark's cousin, a 92 Tbird Super Coupe.
This is a must-see site for fans of America's luxury hot rods.
Message forums, tech advice, and automotive performance links are offered for Lincoln Mark VIII,
Mark VII, LS, Town Car, Continental, Zephyr, Mark LT, MKS, MKZ, MKR, and more.
There is a Mark VIII specific forum as well as a decent Tech page with articles.
So what wrong with a mark eight that any other car wouldn't have the same amount of problem. I've own mark since 2001 and nothing major some electronic issue but what car doesn't have electronic issue. I've got some nice 20's for sell that would looke good on a mark.
