I wore a suit and I got the job. Offer letter will be sent to me when he gets back from vacation in two weeks. Next step is to go down there and look at places. Funny I get all kinds of good job offers from Houston but can find jack shit here.

Just out of curiosity, if you turned your current employer down, because you did not want to move to Houston, why are you considering it now? Is it because you still can't find work locally, or did they just offer you a lot more money? Congrats btw.

I honestly did not see myself going anywhere with my current employer. The new management and the way things were starting to run, I did not agree with and just did not make it worth leaving my family for. This job is the same amount of money and I know the management and the opportunities for advancement are much greater.

If I were able to find something here that would pay me decent I would stay, otherwise I'm going where the money goes and making the best decision for my career and my daughter.
