The disease, and not necessarily the person.

Whatever it takes to get them to lose the weight and keep it off.

Everyone that I've known, that had their gallbladders removed, has had issues. (none of them are fatties). My wife had hers removed because the dr thought it might have been causing a stomach issue that she's had for a while, but nothing changed, so it apparently was fine.

I had in the past, it was a common side effect post op from a stomach surgery. I was stupid waited about 2 weeks the last time and made a dr's appointment on a Monday aftermoon after a really rough weekend of pain and dry heaving. ( It was awesome!) They admitted me to the ER immediately. I had a lot of the same symptoms for a while after the surgery which is common from what I understand.

My issues were diet (or lack there of?) related as well as a shitty gallbladder according to my surgeon. He said that some people are just destined to have problems where others may not.

Mortality of cholecystitis goes up quite a bit if you wait too long to have it removed and the gallbladder gets gangrenous. I am assuming that this is the reason the girl above spent a week in the hospital.
From pics of you im skinnier than you????

                I only weigh 160

LOL...then your cholesterol must be pretty bad! Or youre taking birth control pills!

Google laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Very safe and much less painful than the open procedure. If you wait too long to get it removed, then you run the risk of the surgeon having to do the open procedure...which is quite a bit more painful and takes much longer to heal.

I remember when I was in residency one of the surgeons accidentally cut the inferior vena cava on a patient that was getting a routine cholecystectomy. The patient bled out before he could get the bleeding controlled.

Is it inferior because it's so easy to cut or something?

You'll be alright. My dad survived it, and he's in worse health than you.
