are they reproducing the correct birds for the hood now ?
This car did not have the original engine or transmission when i bought it so it's restored value is not a consideration. Additionally it lived a life of abuse with evidence of at least one good wreck present. It was one step away from the crusher when we got it, and i've been working on it since sep 2008 (I don't have much time to work on it). We're painting it now, and will move on to color sanding shortly. It'll make a fun daily driver.

That is a really tough call.
My uncle has 2 rides that I have dreamt about getting my hands on. A 1970 Pontiac GTO, low miles, all original and resting under a cover for 29 years at this point. This car represents a bit of an unattainable unicorn. He refuses to sell it, but it sits, never driven, begging to be restored. I'll convince him to sell it one of these days.
The other was one he took in trade for some body work he did. It's a 36 Ford truck with mustang II front suspension, all media blasted and completely bare. I fell in love with it when I first saw it and it is sitting in the same place he parked it 20+ years ago.
