Any Lincoln LS owners on here?

I found a 2004 Lincoln LS, a V-6 car, with only 21,000 miles on it. I bought this as my daily driver. Overall I like the car, but might like to
tweak it a bit. Anyone done any work or mods on these?

I have a 05 V8. Not really much out there to do to them. Mine is lowered and has a cold air, thats about all the off the shelf parts for them as far as i know. Transmissions are shit, not sure how well they hold up behind the V6 though.

EDIT: Found it. 5R55S for auto, Getrag 221 for standards. Auto or standard?

If you have the Getrag, upgrades are available to the moon if you have the checkbook. BMW kids have seen to that market. You may be able to use a turbo kit from a Mazdaspeed6, or you could just boost it and see what happens. In closing though, I'll say this one thing. There's obviously a k-member available for mod motors, which means you're not far from being able to LSX it. Aluminum block 5.3's are pretty cheap, really. There's also the LS2. They're pretty affordable out of the yard.

I read up on the LS before I bought this. 2000-2002's were known for trans troubles, was "fixed" in 2003. There's Eaton M90 supercharger kit for the 3.9 V-8,and Magnaflow makes exhaust for both V-6 & V-8. Manual trans option on V-6 was gone after 2002.
