Assuming of course they update the safety inspection standards to check the brakes and tires more closely. Also if you are pulled over for something and are exceeding the speed rating on your tires there needs to be a fine for that as well as a good ass kicking. Then designate the far left lane for overtaking vehicles only, if you impede someone else you are subject to a fine and ass kicking.
Haha, maybe in some areas. I have been on plenty of Texas highways that are pure crap. That and when it rains our roads are complete crap because they aren't built for runoff.

I haven't been that way in a long time, but I know I-45 south was piece of shit. The right lane heading south was one patched pothole after the next.

It's somewhat better now, and they're constantly working on it. They're working on repaving most of it as we speak.

I-20, I-30 and I-35 are all pretty nice once you get outside of the metroplex. I mean yeah when you hit Denton it's a cluster again and the limit needs to be 55 or so, same with Waco the other direction. That 40 mile stretch to the north and 80 miles to the south though could easily handle cars at 100+mph.

The HOV lane on I-30 between Arlington and Dallas is AWESOME. I've done the entire trip at triple digit speeds and didn't get slowed down by traffic. It's nice and straight and there isn't really any way for law enforcement to merge into traffic and pull you over. It's like a free for all. All freeways should be like that.

Dumb idea imo, fkn wrecks galore already, lets add some more speed to the equation. Alot of company owned big trucks are cut back to 65 to save fuel, some as low as 62, doubt they will turn em up.

Maybe that means we won't get stuck behind the fat fucks anymore while they try to pass each other on an uphill grade.

Even more reason for them to stay in the right lane.

I will still set the cruise control on 65-70 where I get the best gas mileage.

The German autobahn is the safest highway system in the world, perhaps you should let them know they're doing it wrong, lawl.

Just fuckin' with ya - we make it way too easy to get unsafe drivers and vehicles on the road in this country.
