Well Cobraman, understand I'm not being a prick here and am sorry for your loss.
Just remember this going forward in life, you're not impervious to anything and you have to try and enjoy every day. I had several military friends die just doing PT or playing basketball outside the barracks - that's when I figured it out.

Terrible. I lost my best friend 7 years ago this month and he was also a very influential guy, not necessarily because of the words he spoke but because of the way he chose to live. He was deep in his faith and even if you weren't he would offer guidance.
When he was in Iraq he organized toy drives through his church back home because it saddened him that the Iraqi children had never had, much less seen a toy. His death over there had such a devastating impact that the company he was with had their tour suspended (MP's).
I still carry a picture of him and make it a purpose to think about him on a frequent basis. I suggest the same.
Very sorry for all involved.
