Suit all the way! Black or Navy suit, white shirt, burgundy tie. Always dress up. I hate people coming in for interviews and looking like it's casual Friday. It makes me wonder what they'll try and wear on a regular workday....

Are you playing dumb on purpose?

Iv always heard "dress for success" but I have no experience in the hiring process.

Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

Correct. You would rather be over dressed than under dressed. In some positions, business casual would be adequate for an interview. However, just wear a decent suit and be done with it.

Ernst and Young told me my grades weren't good enough, but after seeing this thread it's all crystal clear as to why I didn't get the job: I showed up in a suit for a non-upper level management position!
