I suppose the answer to your question depends on the region you are travelling to. I travel to Asia 5-7 times per year so I frequent the following:

    most favorite:
Cathay Pacific (Hong Kong based) - All three classes are great and its non stop to HKG.
Asiana (Korea based) - Their new business class is as good as Cathay. (Quantium something or other - lay flat!)
Air Canada (Canada based) - Same business seats as Cathay...awesome.

    average:
China Airlines (Taiwan based) - meh
Japan Airlines (Japan based) - don't let you use a kindle sitting on the ground WTF.
American Airlines (you know) - First and business class are great

    least favorite:
Philippines Airlines (Philippines based) - business seat didn't completely work

Flyertalk does have some good info, but it take a while to learn all of the Lingo they use. It is just like car brands over there, they get into a pissing match over airlines.
