I love a good IPA. Ever since my first six pack of Alexander Keiths IPA in Whistler (at the ripe ol age of 18) I've been hooked.

Well one of my favorite breweries (Oskar Blues) has an Imperial (double) IPA. At $16.99 per 4 pack I've been hesitant... Until today.

Rated at 10% ABV and 100 IBUs, this shit is deeeeelicious!.

Anyone else have any favorite IPAs they want to recommend?

I like Longboard from Kona. In summer, the Amsterdam bar in Dallas gets it in and puts a hops-infuser in line with the tap. It's pretty damn good.

I'm a big fan of 512's black IPA. Dogfish Head's 90 minute is my favorite in a bottle though.

If you can get your hands on Dogfish's 120 during one of the 3 months a year they brew it I would definitely recommend paying the coin for it. I don't drink much but I do like a good IPA, this is what I've been getting lately.

I like their Hop Rod Rye better.

Lagunitas has plenty of hoppy beers for anyone like likes that kind of brew. Stone is also another big brewer of many different IPA's.

The Hop Rod Rye reminds me of Sierra Nevada if I'm remembering the right beer.

IPA's have been my beer preference for a few years now. Mirror Pond and Full Sail are my two favorites.

Session Black is better. Very drinkable black lager.

Bought some Torpedo IPA today just cause it was $6.99 at Kroger. Usually during the summer I shy away from malty stuff and hoppy stuff and stick with more refreshing blondes and light stuff.

I'll have to try the black. Thanks!

Light blondes are always best for summer. Light beer is good too.

You guys are making me miss home. I used to work 2 miles from the Lagunitas brewery and had a buddy that worked there so we did plenty of 'sampling' in the taproom.
