They don't lock the ones here, but there would be an uproar if they locked up the LHS track. When they passed the $266.9M bond, part of their platform was the state of the art tennis courts and stadium that would be open to the public.

Fucking kids/teenagers go up there and ride their bikes on the track which puts huge holes in it.... not to mention they vandalize the field, break stadium lights, and tear random shit up.

I'm sure it's nothing personal against you, just those who can't respect property.

This is why we can't have nice things anymore. People take advantage and fuck shut up just for the hill of it.

But we paid for it. I get what he is saying because it pisses me off too. Here in Ennis it is the same. The build a multi million dollar track/stadium and close it out to the public. They tore down the old track that was open to the public. The one that was open to the public had never been vandalized or anything.

Perhaps the locking of the track is a preventative measure then? I'd venture to say they'd like to protect that multi-million dollar track/stadium.

You pay for police equipment through taxes too, yet Jimmy still won't let me play with his tazer.

He won't let you play with his tazer because of that unfortunate schmelting accident.

My guess would be part vandalism like Kim said, though I'd imagine that vandals would disregard the signs, and hop the fence. I'm thinking that it's more along the lines of negating liability. They don't want some random Joe breaking an ankle or something, and then suing the school district.

Which is another problem with society today. I broke my ankle running, and the school should pay for it!

What I meant was that there is a metric shit ton of stuff we pay for with taxes but aren't entitled to use.
